“I am constantly on DrivingSales, connecting with other people in the industry, sharing and reaffirming best practices. DrivingSales is where we share ideas, communicate, see what’s working and what’s not, far more quickly and effectively than we ever could before.”
-Matthew Haiken, GM of Prestige Volvo
The Industry’s Largest Social Network and Vendor Ratings Community
The most successful dealers are always looking for ways to improve and grow their business. In the past dealers would have to travel to conferences, conventions and 20 Group meetings to get a few good ideas from other dealers. Today, the Internet and social networks are making it easier for dealers to learn more and travel less. DrivingSales.com is the industry’s largest best practice social network where dealers are sharing best practices, vendor ratings and reviews that are written by dealership employees. DrivingSales.com makes it easy to get a lot of ideas from thousands of dealers within a few clicks.
DrivingSales connects dealership professionals with each other on a proprietary information sharing platform that makes it easy to stay current with cutting edge strategies, technologies and methodologies.
Dealership employees and industry professionals join the DrivingSales network for free by creating a profile, as they would on Facebook. They can then share and learn from others in the business. However, rather than share what is happening in their social world, they share best practices in all of the dealerships profit centers: new, used, F&I, service, parts, BDC, Internet, marketing and more.
Perhaps the most unique and popular feature of DrivingSales is the Vendor Ratings section where dealership employees anonymously rate and review all their technology vendors. To ensure that Vendor Ratings’ information is valid, DrivingSales verifies that actual dealership employees submit the reviews. Dealers use these ratings as a resource to decide which vendor to use, whiie vendors receive valuable feedback that can help them improve product performance.
DrivingSales was created in 2003 by a 3rd generation dealer. It started as a private community to connect his Dealer Candidate Academy class to collaborate on best practices after the Academy ended. The community opened up to all industry professionals nationwide in 2008. Today, DrivingSales serves tens of thousands of industry professionals with best practices and vendor ratings and reviews. The site makes it easy to cut through sales pitches to learn from peers about what really works and what doesn’t. “Dealers discover best practices on the website that translate into profits at the dealership,” said Jared Hamilton, founder and CEO of DrivingSales.com.
Mathew Haiken used the community to learn about SEO and to find the right vendor to use. “I learned a lot about SEO in general, how each vendor was performing and who I should be talking to,” said Haiken. “Armed with all this information, I saved a lot of time and money by making the right deal with the right vendor. Most importantly, the traffic to our site is up by 1000% due to our new SEO strategy.”
